This is a great beginning project to learning the art of soap-making. Castille soap is prized for it’s moisturizing properties and this soap will have all it’s natural vegetable glycerin which will help keep your skin moist all day.
Crock-Pot soap making is simple and safe. No trying to heat and keep ingredients at specific temperatures. No spattering. And the soap is safe (ph neutral) when you pour it into your mold. No alkaloid burns. Ever. You can use this soap later to make laundry soap or shampoo.
You will leave with about 36 oz of soap (that’s 9 4oz bars – about $45 work of soap if you bought it by the bar).
This is a vegan soap. If you bring Organic Olive Oil, it will be an organic product as well.
When you enroll, you will receive a sheet explaining the process and what you need to bring with you.
To attend and make soap – $20 (total of 10 students) – your spotbwill be reserved when you drop off your advance payment at Casa Roja.
To attend and watch (you will get all the handouts and stuff) – $10
There will be one scholarship spot for someone to help the instructor carry supplies in and out of the classroom. This involves helping the instructor set up and clean up.
Tuesday April 2, 2013 6pm at the Basin Park Hotel Ballroom in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
